They took part in a memorial ride and a ghost bike dedication in Colville's honor. His sister, Shannon Colville, spoke about the loss of her brother.
"He was left there. Was he scared? He was always there when I was scared. I wasn't there to help my brother when he got hit," Shannon Colville said.
During remarks at the dedication, family members remembered Colville's connection to cycling.
"My brother, everywhere he went, he had his bike," Shannon Colville said.
Organizers said the ghost bike serves both as a memorial to Colville and as a reminder of the need for safer streets.
They said a barrier installation has been approved for a small section of the Aramingo Avenue bike lane to improve safety, but they believe additional measures are needed.
According to the Bicycle Coalition, there have been 64 deaths from traffic violence so far this year. The group said 28 people were killed while riding bicycles in Pennsylvania in 2025, compared with 19 deaths in 2024.
Driver in custody after deadly hit-and-run in Kensington
Police said a Good Samaritan helped investigators identify the driver involved in the April crash by following the vehicle after it left the scene.
"If it wasn't for a Good Samaritan, he would have gotten ran over by multiple cars lying there," Shannon Colville said.
According to officials, following an extensive investigation, police arrested 22-year-old Sumani-Omari Dunbar. She is now facing multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle.
The family wants justice for Glenn.
"I don't understand why she can go to sleep kissing her family every night and I have to speak to my brother's ashes when I open my eyes. That's all I see," Shannon Colville said.
Family members said they will continue advocating for improved bicycle safety across the city.
