Janice Campbell created the all-volunteer group in 2015 when she saw a need to care for the first responders who spend so much time caring for others.
Locally, the crew of K-9s makes visits to schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.
However, they are also known to respond to horrific tragedies nationwide such as the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Florida, Route 91 Harvest shooting in Las Vegas, and others.
And every year, on September 11th, their team of dogs make a trip to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
There, they spread out and provide comfort to families of victims, who often carry photographs of their loved ones with them.

On September 12, Tri-State K-9 Crisis Response Team will participate in the 2026 SJ Marys Fund Ball Drop fundraiser.
