Crowds braved intense heat, then storms rolled across the region, forcing city officials to pause the concert and ask thousands to evacuate.

The concert resumed just after midnight on Sunday, followed by the fireworks at 2:30 a.m., closing out the historic celebration.
By sunrise, city crews were already breaking down the stage and cleaning up the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
