July 4th concertgoers evacuated from Ben Franklin Parkway due to storms

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Concertgoers attending the July 4th festivities in Philadelphia were being told to evacuate the Ben Franklin Parkway as the city remains under a severe thunderstorm warning.

The One Philly: Unity Concert for America had been underway for several hours when the crowd was ordered to leave.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Philadelphia until 10:30 p.m.

The city said that the show is stopped until further notice, and next steps would be communicated as soon as possible.
