Delaware confirms 2nd measles case from another unvaccinated man in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Del. (WPVI) -- Health officials in Delaware now report two confirmed cases of measles, and encourage people to get vaccinations to stop the spread.

The two infected individuals are unvaccinated men in Kent County.

Healthy officials continue to identify and notify those who may have been exposed to the virus.

Delaware's Department of Health and Social Services says more than 60 people were vaccinated at clinics and mobile health units just on Tuesday.



The MMR vaccine has been shown in tests to be 97% effective in preventing measles.
