Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, is getting a new roller coaster next year, and construction has just reached a major milestone.
The start of its vertical construction began as first sections of the track were lifted into place this week.

Details surrounding the coaster remain a mystery.
It's being built on a plot next to the now-demolished Kingda Ka coaster.
The new thrill ride is scheduled to open in 2027.
Officials say visitors will be able to watch ride "rise" in real time, throughout the summer.
Six Flags Great Adventure opens to the general public for the season on March 28.
