Man wanted in 2024 mass shooting that left 1 dead, 8 injured in Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are hoping to locate a man nearly two years after a Fourth of July drive-by shooting that left one person dead and eight others injured in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police identified the suspect on Wednesday as 19-year-old Naseem Sills.

Naseem Sills is being sought in connection with a 2024 Fourth of July drive-by shooting that left one person dead and eight others injured, according to police.



The nine victims, including three juveniles and six adults, were shot at a holiday "pop-up event" near the intersection of 60th Street and Kingsessing Ave. around 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024.



The crime scene spanned over two blocks.

Officials said they believe a car pulled up and someone inside began firing at the crowd.

Maurice White, 19, was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
