9/11 memorial in Montgomery County being moved to make it more accessible 25 years after attack

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A September 11 memorial in Montgomery County is on the move Tuesday, as part of an effort to make it more accessible to more people.

Chopper 6 was overhead as a procession carried the memorial from the Emergency Operations Center in Eagleville to Elmwood Park in Norristown.

The sculpture was created using an I-beam from the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

It is designed to pay tribute to the victims and first responders.



There will be a rededication ceremony for the memorial at 10 a.m. on September 11, marking 25 years since the attacks.
