Upper Darby police say missing man found dead after days-long search

UPPER DARBY TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Police say a man who was reported missing in Delaware County over the weekend has been found dead.

Upper Darby Twp. police confirmed Tuesday that the body of 76-year-old Thomas Cortallessa was discovered at the Ridley Marina, along with his car.

No further details about the circumstances of his death were available.

Upper Darby Twp. police put out a plea for the public's help in finding Cortallessa on Christmas Eve.

Police said Cortallessa may have been passing through Tinicum Twp. on his way to Harrah's Casino in Chester.

He was last known to be driving his light blue 2013 Toyota Corolla.
