PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Many Philadelphians enjoyed Saturday's unseasonable warmth, but it was a bit out of place with Christmas decorations everywhere and holiday shopping in full swing.

Many took advantage by going outside in Rittenhouse Square to some holiday shopping and eat outdoors.

"It seems like the city's really lively, and everyone's out and about. It feels like a spring day during the Christmas holiday season," said Zach Pashko from Bella Vista.

The warm weather even brought some people out in shorts as many held their jackets in their arms.

The weather also helped local eateries with people filling tables outside.

"It's beautiful weather for outdoor dining. It's nice to be able to come outside and not freeze too much," said Nicholas Mccolough, dining outside at a restaurant in Rittenhouse.

Hundreds also walked from Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish to Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Once at the Basilica, rain began to come down this evening, but it didn't dampen people's spirits.
