$289k worth of counterfeit goods seized in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Thousands of pieces of counterfeit apparel are off the streets thanks to Customs and Border Protection officers in Philadelphia.

Earlier this month, they seized some 13 boxes filled with knock off shoes and sports jerseys.

Those items have officially been declared counterfeit.

They were shipped from Hong Kong, headed for Cincinnati, Ohio.

Officials say the items have a street value of $289,000.
