HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- An early morning gun battle in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia has left one man dead and two others wounded, including the suspect.

It happened around 4 a.m. Sunday outside the A Lounge and Social Club on the 4200 block of Macalester Street.

Investigators said a 27-year-old man shot a 39-year-old man in the face and chest following an argument.

Arriving officers reported finding a 39-year-old man in the street with blood on his face and chest. He was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after. A 24-year-old man shot twice in the neck was also taken to a hospital.

Police said a club security guard opened fire on the 27-year-old suspect, who was shot multiple times in the left thigh and taken to a hospital..

The 39-year-old victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect remains hospitalized and faces murder charges.
