General Motors will debut a new teen driver system on its redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.

It mutes the radio when front seat passengers haven't buckled up and gives parents a report card on their teen's driving.

Teens will also receive warnings if a vehicle travels above pre-set speeds between 40 and 75 miles per hour.

Those speeds can be set by parents.

GM says this is the first system in the industry that can let parents view how their teen drove the car.
