CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- New funding means more summer jobs than ever for teens in Pennsylvania.

In Center City, State Senator Vincent Hughes and the Governor's Tom Wolf's Chief of Staff Katie McGinty announced $7.5 million in new funds to create 3,700 new jobs state wide.

Half of the funding is from the federal government, the other half from the Workforce Investment Board.

The pilot program is focusing on low-income, high poverty neighborhoods.
