Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney gave his blessing at city hall Monday to a group of 115 high school students participating in the Philadelphia Youth Network Summer in the City initiative.

Each student will spend six weeks working in city departments.

The Work Ready program encourages high school students to give back to their communities by getting in the business of serving others.
