Deadly shooting on Cherry St. in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in West Philadelphia.

It happened before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 5600 block of Cherry Street.

Investigators tell Action News a man in his 30s was shot several times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Seven shell casings were found nearby.

Police are checking video from surveillance cameras in the area as they work to identify a suspect.
