Princeton University tops college rankings

Princeton is the top university in America according to US News and World Report, which released its annual rankings Tuesday.

Princeton topped Harvard and Yale to take the number one spot.

The magazine ranked colleges based on areas like graduation rates, selectivity, and freshmen retention.

Columbia and Stanford rounded out the top five.

The University of Pennsylvania was 8th.
