The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia preps for its first concert of the season

The sounds of classical and contemporary music are joining forces for the Chamber Orchestra's season opening. The concert features a Taiwanese, world-renowned pianist who is proud to call Philadelphia her home.

The show is titled "Haydn, Mozart, and the Red Cliff," an ode to the musicians featured by the orchestra.

Guest soloist Ching-Yun Hu will take the stage to perform two very different works.

First she'll perform Mozart's Piano Concerto Number 23.

She'll then play a world premiere work.

The piece is called "Red Cliff" and it's based off a classic Chinese war story.

The audience will also get to hear the orchestra perform works by Ibert, Haydn, and Arriaga.

The Chamber Orchestra will perform their season opening on October 9th and 10th at the Perelman Theater.
