INDEPENDENCE MALL (WPVI) -- Today's one of the most exciting days of the year on Independence Mall, when locals and tourists alike can get a taste of Philly food and Philly history, all for free.

It's Wawa Hoagie Day at the National Constitution Center.

The museum is open from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and admission is free, courtesy of Wawa.

Workers will be building the giant Wawa Hoagie inside the museum from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. You can check out the Revolutionary War encampment on the museum's front lawn from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Watch a special show called "What America Eats: The History of the Hoagie" at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.

At noon, the hoagie will be marched from the Constitution Center across the street to the Independence Visitor Center's lawn and then all who are hungry can partake in the five-ton sandwich.

There are plenty of other free activities throughout the day and you can check them all out by clicking here.
