NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A couple and two children safely escaped, when their home caught fire in Northeast Philadelphia overnight.

Sadly, the family's cat died in the blaze.

The Action Cam was on the scene on the 5800 block of Ditman Street just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.

When firefights arrived, they found flames and smoke pouring from the back of the home.

So far, there's no word on what may have sparked the fire.
