Rich Products in Rochester is sending pizza to troops serving in Afghanistan.

It's a game-time tradition started by Mark Evans back in 2008.

He started sending pizza to troops for the Fourth of July and Veteran's Day.

Now it's the Super Bowl.

"We've shipped over 1 million slices in 6.5 years so far. We're just so blessed with this project," said Evans.

"It's just awesome to know that people, even back in the states, care about us being over here and want to provide us with a little something extra," said one servicemember.

DHL volunteers also volunteers its services to deliver this delicious gift from the home front.

Workers even switch out the ice to make sure the 5,000 pies arrive fresh and ready to eat.
