Writing to-do-list may help you get better sleep
Writing to-do-list may help you get better sleep. Registered Nurse Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on January 17, 2018.

Many people can't sleep because they're worrying or thinking about all the things they have to do the next day or week.

Researchers at Baylor University did a small study and found that writing a to-do-list before going to bed can help people fall asleep faster.

Some experts believe writing the tasks on paper helps to get the thoughts out of your mind so they don't keep you up at night.

The volunteers in the study just took about five minutes to write their lists.

The researchers say the people who wrote longer and more detailed lists, fell asleep faster than those who wrote more general notes.
