Man killed block from Strawberry Mansion home

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A man was murdered one block from his home in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia, police say.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday at 30th and Paige streets.

Police say the gunman opened fire on the victim at point blank range.

He was shot under his right eye.

The 23-year-old victim was pronounced dead on the sidewalk.

Police do not have a motive or a suspect in the shooting.
