Man injured in shooting while riding moped in New Castle County

NEW CASTLE (WPVI) -- New Castle County Police are looking for the person who shot a 20-year old man while he was riding a moped.

The incident happened just before noon Sunday in the unit block of Oakmont Drive in New Castle.

Upon arrival, police said they learned the victim had already been taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses said they saw someone in a vehicle firing shots at the victim, but that person still at large.

The victim's condition is unknown.
