One person is dead and 20 are injured after an SUV crashed into a SEPTA trolleybus in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- One person is dead and 20 are injured after an SUV crashed into a SEPTA trolleybus in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.



The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday on the 4700 block of Penn Street.



Police say 34-year-old Jamarr Sturgis was driving his 2006 red Dodge Magnum at a high rate of speed when it made contact to the rear of a SEPTA bus that was stopped at a stop sign.



Sturgis was pronounced dead on the scene.



A 43-year-old male passenger in the Dodge was transported Einstein Hospital in critical condition.



All 19 passengers on the trollybus were transported to Einstein Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.



Police are continuing to investigate.
