One person was hurt in a fire that damaged two row houses in Reading, Pennsylvania.

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- One person was hurt in a fire that damaged two row houses in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at a vacant home on North 9th Street near Oley Street.

The blaze went to three alarms and spread to an adjacent home before firefighters got the upper hand.

One person from the neighboring home was taken to an area hospital with stable vital signs.

Crews remained on the scene for more than two and a half hours putting out hot spots.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
