Man critically injured in Delaware crash

NEWPORT, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a man was critically injured in a single car crash in Newport, Delaware.

The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday on I-95 southbound, near exit 4 at Churchman's Road.

Police say the 21-year-old driver, identified as Wayne Demarco, was travelling southbound when his car struck a guardrail.

Investigators determined he was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected out of the vehicle onto the shoulder of the highway.

Demarco was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
