A PATCO train became stuck on the Ben Franklin Bridge.

BEN FRANKLIN BRIDGE (WPVI) -- A PATCO train became stuck on the Ben Franklin Bridge Tuesday afternoon.

The westbound train became disabled around 4 p.m.

Approximately 100 passengers were on the train at the time.

PATCO says the train experienced an electrical malfunction which activated the emergency brake bringing the train to a halt.

The passengers were offloaded, transported back to Camden, and put on another train to complete their travel.

The train was retrieved and is being evaluated.

Service resumed after a little more than an hour.

The incident resulted in residual backups.
