Scholarships for families of the fallen

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Police Foundation launched a new school scholarship fund Thursday, for children of officers who were killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The Action Cam was at Police Headquarters for the announcement.

The Connelly Foundatation will jumpstart the fund, with 300-thousand dollars.

The group also said it will match every 100 thousand dollars raised by the Philadelphia Police Foundation, up to half a million dollars total.
