Neither snow nor rain nor heat

GLASSBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- For 41 years, six hours a day and, as the saying goes, through rain, and snow and sleet, he's been a steady presence delivering the mail in Glassboro.

Now, a longtime postman is finally ready for some rest.

59 year old Steve Smith says he never minded the snow but the rain made things tough.

He went though four pairs of shoes a year, just to stay comfortable.

Smith plans to spend retirement biking on the shore, and boating on the Chesapeake.
