A woman was rescued from her car Sunday afternoon after high tide caused flooding in New Castle County.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman was rescued from her car Sunday afternoon after high tide caused flooding in New Castle County.

The incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Airport Road in New Castle, Delaware.

Police said the Nonesuch Creek overflowed causing the road to flood.

A female motorist was rescued Sunday afternoon after high tide caused flooding in New Castle County.

The Action Cam was on the scene as rescue crews helped the woman to safety. The woman's car was surrounded by rising water.

Police said the woman was unharmed during the incident.
