Tourism up in the city

PENN'S LANDING (WPVI) -- The holidays were a big boost to Philadelphia's tourism industry.

"Visit Philadelphia" says New Year's Eve saw 3.1 million Center City hotel room bookings.

That's about 77 percent capacity.

The group went over the numbers at its annual New Year's Hospitality Breakfast Wednesday.

The Independence Seaport Museum hosted the event.
