A homeless veteran has a permanent place to stay.

Action News was there Tuesday night as Clara first walked in to her new luxury apartment at 3737 Chestnut in the University City section of Philadelphia.

David Yeager, of Radnor Property Group, along with Bozzuto Management presented it to her fully-furnished and fully-stocked with food.

Clara served in the army for 24 years.

She will now live in the new apartment rent-free for one year.

"It means so much to be able to have a home to come home to and to really get myself together and start a new life," she said.

Bozzuto Management works to provide veterans with employment and housing options across the country.
