Firefighters battle Overbrook house fire

A smoke detector is credited for getting two women and three teenagers out of a burning row house in overbrook.

OVERBROOK (WPVI) -- A smoke detector is credited for getting two women and three teenagers out of a burning row house in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.

Fire crews were called just before 6 a.m. Sunday to the 1700 block of North 59th Street.

Arriving firefighters were met with flames coming from the first floor and quickly went to work battling the flames.

Crews brought the fire under control within 15 minutes.

No injuries have been reported.
