Apologizing for slavery
Governor Jack Markell addresses Delaware's role in slavery and wrongs committed during Jim Crow

DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Governor Jack Markell is apologizing for Delaware's role in slavery, and the wrongs committed during the Jim Crow era.

Wednesday in Dover, he signed a resolution that state lawmakers passed last month.

He also presented a proclamation recognizing black history month.

Along with all of this, a new exhibit commemorates the 125th anniversary of historically black Delaware State University.
