CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Tamir Rice's family is outraged over how the city of Cleveland filed a creditor's claim against the 12-year-old's estate.

Police shot and killed Tamir back in 2014 while responding to a report of a "male with a gun" at a city park.

It turned out Tamir had a pellet gun.

He died at the hospital the next morning.

The city's claim is for $500, saying it is "past due and owing for emergency medical services rendered as the decedent's last dying expense."
