Man killed, teen critical after Hunting Park shooting

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- A man was killed and a teenage girl is in critical condition after a shooting in the city's Hunting Park section.

It happened shortly before 11 p.m. near Pike Street and Park Avenue.

Police say a 20-year-old man was behind the wheel and a 17-year-old female passenger was in the front seat when at least one person opened fire through the passenger window of the car.

The teenage girl was shot in both legs and the back, police say, and the man was shot twice in the chest.

Both victims were rushed to Temple University Hospital where the man was pronounced dead upon arrival.

One victim has been pronounced dead. The condition of the other victim is unknown.

So far, no arrests or motive.
