Woman dies after being struck by vehicle in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 32-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday at 9th and Wharton streets.

Police say the 33-year-old male driver had a seizure and hit the 32-year-old woman and two parked cars.

The victim was rushed to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, but later died from her injuries.

The driver remained at the scene, police say, and is Okay.

Police have not released the victim's name.
