JUNIATA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for at least one suspect after undercover officers watched a shooting happen in Juniata Park.

It happened around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of East Hunting Park Avenue.

Plan clothes narcotics officers watched a man as he shot into A Toyota Sequoia, then making a getaway in an SUV with another man.

It was initially believed that the gunman may have fired at the officers as well. But investigators are now saying that is not the case.

Luckily, no officers were injured in the shooting.

Police tracked the SUV to Coral and Valetta streets in Juniata Park, but the occupants had fled. However, they later caught up with one of the suspects on Torresdale Avenue.

It's unclear if the man in custody was the shooter, as police continue their search for the other suspect.

The man who was inside the Toyota Sequoia that was fired upon, later showed up at Frankford Hospital. Police are talking to him now.

Adding to the chaos, a 15th District police officer was injured in an accident while responding to the officer assist call.

The accident occurred at 1:40 p.m. at Pratt Street and Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

The officer was transported to Torresdale Hospital and placed in stable condition. He is expected to be treated and released.
