A fire at an apartment complex in Lindenwold, New Jersey has displaced several residents.

The blaze started after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Pines Apartments on the 500 block of Bilper Avenue.

Fire officials say the blaze began on the first floor in one apartment then spread to a neighboring unit.

It took firefighters fifteen minutes to get the blaze under control.

One resident says a woman living on the first floor knocked on her door and told her to get out.

She says she grabbed what she could and ran.

"Me and my cat made it out safely, so thank God," said Bernice Bernelle-Owens.

There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
