Believe it or not: Thieves take shrunken heads, DiMaggio bat from Ripley's at Times Square

TIMES SQUARE (WPVI) -- Thieves have targeted Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in Times Square.

Museum officials say someone stole a 1941 autographed Joe DiMaggio bat; baseballs autographed by DiMaggio and Ted Williams were also taken.

Here's where things get strange.

Staff at Ripley's noticed several shrunken heads were also missing.

The manager of the museum says it doesn't appear the thefts are related.

He also says it's not likely that the thieves will be able to legitimately sell the baseball memorabilia for what it's actually worth. The museum still has the certificates of authenticity.
