Police are searching for two armed robbers who targeted a pizza shop in Southwest Philadelphia.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for two armed robbers who targeted a pizza shop in Southwest Philadelphia.

The incident occurred on March 15 inside Little Caesars pizza on the 5800 block of Woodland Avenue.

Police say the employees were closing up and locking the front door at 10:30 p.m. when they were approached by the two gunmen.

After forcing the employees back inside to open the safe, one suspect grabbed $100 cash while the second hit an employee on the head with his handgun.

Both suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a white hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black mask and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male. He was wearing a black puffy coat over a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black & white shoes, black mask, white latex glove on his right hand, and armed with a handgun.

If you see these suspects do not approach them and contact 911 immediately.
