Recognizing those that make Center City great

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Members of the Philadelphia community who have been keeping the city safe and clean for 25 years were honored Tuesday.

They awarded 11 people who have worked with the Center City District since it was founded back in 1991.

Mayor Jim Kenney and Police Commissioner Richard Ross where there to say thanks to the honorees.

They are made up of police officers, community service representatives and cleaning crews.

42 others were recognized for 5,10,15 and 20 years of service as well.
