Students battling hunger with art

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Students with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia were asked to get creative and help fight hunger.

They submitted their artwork in a Placemat Contest and Wednesday the winners were announced including this student Alvin.

Students cheered as his winning design was revealed. Alvin won the K-2nd category and attends Our Lady of Port Richmond.

The goal of the artwork on the placemats is to encourage healthy eating and physical activity.
