HOUSTON (WPVI) -- Action News found Villanova pride everywhere we looked Monday in Houston.

"We put the Villanova bandanna on the dog," said Ann Janssen. "She always wears it when we watch the game that makes us victorious."

It seems everyone has a little good luck charm they believe is critical to a Wildcats win.

"I have worn the same thing for every game this season," said Branden McBirney, Villanova Class of 2010. "A shirt Jay Wright gave me that says 'We are V.''"

"I've been wearing Jay wright's attitude bracelet," said Class of 2007 alum Blair McBirney. "So far it's worked out."

And then there's the Villa Gnome. And he hasn't missed a game!

Angela Kania has the original victory hat from the 1985 win in Lexington, Kentucky. She's cloned it, hopefully to clinch a second championship this year here in Houston.

Jerry Klingman has been following his Wildcats for 65 years! He says his bracelet is his accessory for success.

"You don't take this thing off," he said. "Do everything with it."

Klingman turns 82 later this week, and says he told Coach Wright that time is of the essence.

As for Father Peter Donohue, Villanova's president - he says there's no power greater than prayer.

"I say a lot of prayers," he said. "Some people wear the same clothes, but my clothes are usually the same anyway - all the time - black and white."
