A competition for "Cyber-Patriots"
Some of Delaware's brightest budding computer scientists were celebrated Thursday

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Some of Delaware's brightest budding computer scientists were celebrated Thursday.

Padua Academy sent two teams to this year's state "cyber patriot" competition, where students are tasked with removing malware, then securing vulnerable computers.

And for the second year in a row, the teams took first and second place.

The competition is meant to inspire high schoolers to explore careers in cyber security, or other math and science fields.

Governor Jack Markell was on hand to congratulate the winners.
