The Neshaminy School Board voted Tuesday night to close two elementary schools to save money. (WPVI)

The Neshaminy School Board voted Tuesday night to close two elementary schools to save money.

In a special meeting at Maple Point Middle School in Langhorne, board members decided to close Oliver Heckman Elementary and Lower Southampton Elementary as part of a $54-million consolidation plan.

The decision won't be final until the Pennsylvania Department of Education signs off.
