Man found guilty of sexually abusing teen sleeping in Delco

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A jury in Delaware County has found a man guilty of sexually abusing a teenage girl while she was asleep in her bed.

The panel convicted 31-year-old Israel James of indecent assault, and the corruption of a minor.

The assault happened inside a home in Upper Darby in September 2015.

Prosecutors say James climbed into a 17-year-old girl's bed while she was asleep and began touching her.

She eventually woke up, escaped and called 911.
