A CrossFit trainer's strength and routine helped save a family from a car crash.

LOS GATOS, CA -- A CrossFit trainer is being called a hero after he scaled a wall to help a family whose SUV recently overturned on a California highway.

Greg Pena is being called a Good Samaritan ninja after he jumped into action when he heard a crash and saw a plume of smoke on Highway 17. He climbed a 25-feet-high wall to reach the vehicle with a mother, Jessica Magdaleno, and her three young children inside.

Once there, Pena cut the woman's toddlers and her newborn free that were dangling upside down.

Magdaleno said she and her kids are all OK.

As for Pena, Magdaleno says he came out of nowhere. She told local station KPIX, "God sent me this angel."

Firefighters also helped with that rescue. They nominated Pena for the Medal of Valor.
