CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- 12 big buildings are winners of an energy-saving race to make Philadelphia greener. .

Officials announced the winners of a citywide competition to reduce energy use.

A dozen buildings reduced their energy needs by 5 percent and won in three categories.

Officials say the real test comes now with long term sustainability.

The winners each get $5,000. Good job.
